74 Years of Service

Germiston Veterinary Hospital was started in 1949 by Basil Henry Pappin. The hospital was attached to his house in Cachet Road, Lambton and was a mixed animal practice.

Imaging Specialist

Should we require further investigative treatment, we have an Imaging Specialist on call to assist with ultrasounds, pregnancy diagnosis, biopsy etc.

Pet Identification

We strongly recommend that all pets are identified with a microchip. The chip is the size of a grain and is inserted painlessly.

Critical Care

We can provide critical care by arrangement at a fee

Obstetrics

We are able to preform C-Sections should the need arise.

Imaging Specialist

Our imaging service allows us to gain access to advanced imaging modalities to facilitate a diagnosis and direct treatment options, whilst still retaining control of the patient

Home Visits

Home visit can be arranged through our reception. Visits are only available from Monday-Friday's, exluding public holiday

Dr Wata and Dr Sharon were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by my encounter with the woman working at the front desk; Annie. She was rude, combative and dismissive. Definitely lacking in empathy and basic people skills.

Thank you Dr Sharon for saving my very sick cat on the Easter weekend, while you were struggling without electricity. All the staff were helpful and kind and the after-hours fee very reasonable compared to other 24h vets
